she pondered life as the tetris blocks fell
how could one little hole cause such a mess?
as the blocks fall
and build
and leave no room for mercy
not a single piece fits
not a single hole gets fixed
and the colors change
and the game picks up the pace
she tries to think quick
to win the race
but some games cant be beat
arent meant to be beat
no matter how fast she thinks
so she starts again
hit the restart button
thats all it takes
back to blue
she wants to beat this game
but a hole is made
mouth feels like clay
hands start to sway
as she stears the block away
from another mistake
and yet
another hole is made
the pieces fall faster
her hands shake
she’s got to beat this game!
again the colors change
and the holes multiply
the mistakes she’s made on display
restart
no!
instead she prays
for something greater
to fill up this void
she’s created
suddenly she knows
she can’t beat this game
